Basic Skincare Tips

Okay! So we all have flaws that we totally hate and want to get rid of when it comes to our skin!
Lets be honest, applying makeup daily doesn’t help out with this at all😭
So here are a few tips on keeping and maintaining flawless skin 💖
STEP 1: CLEANSING
Find a good cleanser that your skin responds well to and stick with it. You can find a good cleanser at the drug store. I find that these work just as well as any brand name out there.
✨Try to avoid using bar soaps as they tend to dry out the skin.
✨Be careful not to cleanse too often or you risk over-cleansing skin. Honestly you only need to wash your face at night.
✨In the morning, a splash of LUKEWARM water. If you have super oily skin, you can cleanse your skin again in the morning.
✨Make sure to remove eye makeup with a proper makeup remover. You can also use olive oil as a natural eye makeup remover.
STEP 2: EXFOLIATE
Once you start to properly exfoliate your skin, you will notice an almost immediate difference. Exfoliating once a week works just fine.
I like to use the washcloth and sugar method:
✨Put a dab of cleanser and a sprinkle of white refined sugar on a damp washcloth and massage skin in a circular motion. After a quick rinse, any sign of dead skin is erased. If you have dry skin, try extra virgin coconut oil.
STEP 3 : MOISTURIZE
A basic rule of beauty is that if you have dry skin, you should invest in a basic moisturizer.
I like to use Dove (which is $1 at the dollar tree)
So how much should you moisturize? Your skin will tell you. When your skin is tight, it's crying out for moisture.
But be careful not to over-moisturize as this can clog pores.
For you natural girls, nothing beats a good oil for your skin. You can use extra virgin coconut oil, olive oil, sweet almond oil or jojoba oil.
